On Wednesday, July 28th we'll be exploring the Wascana Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary. We'll start off with a traditional teepee raising ceremony and find out more about its significance in Treaty 4. Ecologists from Wascana Centre will join us for a Turtle Talk and pond dipping. We'll go on a short hike along a "secret path to a bird habitat". Plus we'll have an Indigenous drum making, insect spotting and bird feeder making activities.

The event will be 1 1/2 to 2 hours with four different activities. Social distancing, hand sanitizing, responding to COVID 19 symptom checker questions and small group sessions. Masking will not be required as long as 6 feet distancing from those not in your family group is maintained.
