Spring is in the air in AE Wilson Park! Songbirds congregate in the trees, and waterfowl quickly crowd the islands and shoreline. The beavers begin their active season, and the local lichens are finally taking on color.

About the Event
Meet at the Pine Island Parking Lot in Wascana Park. If the parking lot is full here, there is additional parking in a parking lot across the road and 50 meters to the west.
Leader: Jared Clarke
Some early spring migrants will have arrived by now. We will start by scanning the open water for ducks and geese on Wascana Lake. Afterwards, we will tour through the Arboretum across the road looking for birds. If there is time, we may swing further west towards the totem pole and then head back to the parking lot. Walking distance will be 2-3 km along the paved paths. Dress warmly and bring binoculars! All ages and skill levels welcome.
