About the Event
During the winter break, we will have an event at the Neil Balkwill Centre and Les Sherman Park. This is a free event for children ages 6 to 12 and a caregiver (younger siblings welcome to join). Advance registration is required since there is limited spaces. We will have outdoor activities at Les Sherman Park and in the courtyard, as well as some indoor art activities inside the Neil Balkwill Centre. Come join us on Friday, January 5th from 10:00am-11:30AM.
We’ll explore and learn more about the wildlife you may not realize live in the park! Join Nature Regina for nature-based activities, nature exploration, and outdoor play. Participants are invited to come and try snowshoeing for a short snowshoe hike along Wascana Creek! We will have indoor crafts offered by a local artist, Laura Buchan. The outdoor atrium at the Niel Balkwill also offers a "wind-free" outdoor play area if needed!
A big thank you to the City of Regina, Sask Outdoors, Nature Sask, and Woodhaven for partnering for this event! The Get Outside! Programs are offered in parks and open spaces around the city to provide opportunities to learn, connect, and play outside!
