About the Event
R. Mark Brigham was a Professor in the Biology Department at the University of Regina until 30 June 2026. However, academics never retire, they just keep on working because it is fun. He and his students primarily studied bat and nightjar ecology and behaviour, as well as studying the ecology of endangered birds and mammals to understand the reasons for and to try and reverse these population declines. I have published 220 peer reviewed publications, served on COSEWIC and am currently co-editor of the Canadian Journal of Zoology. I am a strong proponent of bringing Science and my research to the public.
