About the Event
The Get Outside! Kids Club is a free outdoor education program offered by Nature Regina, Nature Saskatchewan, SaskOutdoors and WILD Outside (Canadian Wildlife Federation) for children and their parent/guardian between the ages of 6 and 13. Children 5 and under are welcome to attend with their family.
Once a month we'll explore a new park and open space in and around Regina and participate in a variety of outdoor education activities. From September to December we'll be exploring the Habitat Conservation Area at Wascana Park, Hidden Valley Wildlife Refuge (30 minute drive from Regina), Les Sherman Park and one secret location to be announced.
Activities will include geocaching, the Habitat Hip Hop Game, the Leatherback Turtle Migration Game, the Thicket Game, nature scavenger hunts, the migration obstacle course, animal track matching games, nature based arts and crafts and more!
This year we are asking you to sign up for four sessions at the same time. This will reduce the time and costs to administer the program. Please sign up for only the Tuesday 10 to 11:30 session or the Thursday 1:00 to 2:30 session. Tuesday and Thursday sessions will be the same.
Thursday, September 30th, 2021 (Habitat Conservation Area)
Thursday, October 28th, 2021 (Hidden Valley Wildlife Refuge - 30 minute drive from Regina)
Thursday, November 25th, 2021 (location to be determined)
Thursday, December 9th, 2021 (Les Sherman Park)
All four sessions will take place from 1:00 - 2:30 on these dates.
A huge thanks to the Community Initiatives Fund and Saskatchewan Lotteries for providing funding for this program!
