About the Event
On Thursday, June 2nd, we will be exploring Les Sherman Park!
Jillian Mcdonald and Linda Duvall are artists who will lead an art and creative writing activity with the Art Gallery of Regina for their exhibit "Messages from the Rocks: Stories of the Invisible". The work the kids create will be showcased on the walls of the Art Gallery of Regina for the duration of the exhibit. We will also find out more about the hidden wildlife and edible plants and insects in the park. We'll head out on a short hike to search for insects, learn to birdwatch and find edible Indigenous plants. We'll also play several Indigenous games that teach us about the buffalo and their cultural and historical importance on Treaty 4 land.
