We will start by walking to the lake and scanning for water birds. We will see a number of duck and grebe species, as well sparrow species like White-throated Sparrows and Harris's Sparrows and some late migrating warblers.

Meet at the Pine Island Parking Lot in Wascana Park. If the parking lot is full here, there is additional parking in a parking lot across the road and 50 meters to the west.


We will start by walking to the lake and scanning for water birds. Then we will swing back around the Leg watching for songbirds. We will walk over to the Totem pole area and scan for birds on Spruce Island and on the water. We will see a number of duck and grebe species, as well sparrow species like White-throated Sparrows and Harris's Sparrows and some late migrating warblers. Walking distance will be 2-4 km along the roads and paths of Wascana Park.
