About the Event

Leader: Dan Sawatzky

Valeport Marsh is a great mix of habitats which should allow for a lot of birds to been seen and heard.

We will scope out into the marsh looking for Clark’s Grebes which breed amongst the large number of Western Grebes in the marsh. We should also see Forester’s Terns, pelicans and Marsh Wrens. Franklin’s Ground Squirrels live at the picnic site. We will walk up to 2 km along a dirt trail. Bring binoculars and a spotting scope if you have them.

All ages and skill levels welcome. Carpooling possible, please pay driver $5 for gas.

Meet at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum parking lot.
