About the Event

Nature Regina and friends are delighted to announce the Third Annual Crocus Walk will be held on Earth Day this year. Everyone is invited to join us for free family-friendly nature walks at the City’s newly designated Biodiversity Reserve, situated along Wascana Creek between Lewvan Drive and Sandra Schmirler Way.
Naturalists have found a stunning variety of prairie flowers and grasses coming to life each spring on this property, providing refuge for bees and other insects. 300 species have been documented at this site. Meadowlarks, Swainson’s hawks, and Species at Risk including Barn Swallows and Loggerhead Shrikes have also been spotted there.
In 2025 Regina’s City Council designated this area as a biodiversity reserve. Come and celebrate this important step toward protecting the area, and experience the benefits of being in nature.
Come discover how the native prairie has the power to heal us and connect us…
