About the Event
The coverage of our count area will be approximately the same as last year.
The Regina group will meet at the Royal Sask Museum parking lot at 8:30 a.m., and then drive to the count circle.
Started in 1900, the Christmas Bird Count is North America’s longest-running Citizen Science project. Counts happen in over 2000 localities throughout the Western Hemisphere. Each Christmas Bird Count is conducted on a single day between December 14 and January 5. Counts are carried out within a 24-km diameter circle that stays the same from year to year.
Come out and enjoy what birds are out in this cold climate. Spend a day or half day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) with friends, old and new.
