Train the Trainer: Learn to Orienteer
Time & Location
About the Event
Join Nature Regina and the Saskatchewan Orienteering Association to learn to orienteer!
Orienteering is an event across a mostly natural landscape, where participants navigate through a series of checkpoints along the way. The route from one checkpoint to the next isn’t marked. Each participant decides the best route on the walk (or run) based on the orienteering map.
We'll teach you how to orienteer using the map, a compass and how to teach others to participate in orienteering.
Then in a few weeks you can help us out for an hour or two at an event open to the public where they can try out orienteering. Nature Regina will be having a Get Outside! free public event on Monday, August 2nd at A.E. Wilson Park and the Saskatchewan Orienteering Association will have several out of town events this summer.
If you have any questions, please contact Shannon Chernick at email@example.com
