About the Event
Citizen scientists can contribute greatly to science and conservation efforts. A flower or bird you observe on a walk can help create research quality data to better understand nature. Tools such as iNaturalist and iMap Invasives connect you to a community of over a million naturalists and scientists who can help you learn more about what you’re seeing around you. These observations can then be used by researchers, or organizations like the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre to monitor biodiversity and manage wild species. Citizen scientists can also get more involved in specific projects, such as an exciting upcoming project to monitor bat activity in Saskatchewan.
This will be an in person event.
For those who wish to attend virtually: a Zoom link will be provided via email to registrants.
