October General Meeting - Saskatchewan Breeding Bird Atlas Update
Time & Location
About the Event
Kiel Drake will provide an update on the Saskatchewan Breeding Bird Atlas, a five-year, volunteer-driven project which aims to provide a contemporary assessment of the status and distribution of breeding birds in the province. Kiel will discuss the progress made in the first three seasons of data collection and highlight the opportunities and challenges which lay ahead for the final two atlassing seasons. Breeding Bird Atlases are milestones in ornithology and provide a unique opportunity for inspired naturalists to directly contribute to Saskatchewan’s rich ornithological legacy.
The RSM auditorium is not available yet for meetings so we've switched to the Regina Public Library Film Theatre (2311 12th Avenue). Due to the hours of operation of the library, our meeting time has changed to 7:00 pm. We will be following the health guidelines for theatres which restrict occupancy to 30%. Members are asked to register for the meeting here, so we do not exceed our maximum seating. There here will be no social beforehand and the presentation will start precisely at 7:00. Fees for existing members will be accepted at the meeting - please put your cheque in an envelope with your address and phone number on it.
There will be a Zoom link available if you are unable to attend in person. Please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like the Zoom link sent to you.
