About the Event

Please join Nature Regina, Nature Saskatchewan and SaskOutdoors presenting “Get Outside! Outdoor Adventures: Kids Club”.

The Kids Club will happen every Wednesday from September 16th to the end of October for 2 hours from 10 am to noon in a different green space in Regina.  Registration for each week will be posted one week in advance and registration is required for each week. We will be repeating the same session at the same location two weeks in a row to accommodate more family groups.

Kids Club is geared towards children aged 6-12. An adult must attend with children. You must register ALL children attending (even if they are younger 6).

Location for Wednesday September 30 and October 7: Habitat Conservation Area (the fenced off area below Douglas Hill in Wascana Park)

Please note: the September 30th program will be THE SAME as the October 7th program.  We will visit a new location on October 14th!

On September 30th and October 7th we’ll learn all about migration and the changing seasons including the plant life cycle! Learn about how birds adapt to their environment, the migratory season and the changing landscape all around us during fall. Activities will include plant hunting, birdwatching, insect spotting and a hike through a “Secret Path to a Bird Habitat”. We’ll provide magnifying glasses, bug catching containers, binoculars, colouring sheets and other art and craft supplies for different activities.

Information will be emailed to all registered participants the day before each event. This will include the starting point for your family group as we can only have a maximum of 30 people in one location at once to ensure COVID 19 safety.

Registration is limited and upon arrival all family groups will be rotatated between 6 stations to ensure adquate physical distancing and space.

When registering you must agree to the following: "I will follow the COVID 19 health and safety guidelines which include hand sanitizing as necessary, wearing a mask when a 6 foot distance cannot be maintained and practicing social distancing of 6 feet as much as possible. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided by the event organizers. Please bring your own if you have them. We are hoping that a 6 feet distance can be maintained throughout the whole session so that masking will not be necessary."
