About the Event
Join Nature Regina, Nature Saskatchewan and SaskOutdoors for the Get Outside! Kids Club. An outdoor education program for at home learners including homeschoolers, e-learners and distance learners from ages 6 to 13. Each Wednesday we explore a new park or open space with hands-on, nature-based activities. We'll have the same session two weeks in a row so as many families as possible can participate (May 19th and 26th will be the same). Parents must attend with their children. Come and try out pond dipping! We'll provide the equipment and identification guides. You will also have a chance to look for migrating waterfowl and learn more about migration with the Migration Obstacle Course (socially distanced, nature-based tag game). We'll also have a self-guided nature scavenger hunt. The event will be 1 1/2 to 2 hours with four different activities. Mandatory masking, social distancing, hand sanitizing, responding to COVID 19 symptom checker questions and small group sessions. Thanks to the Community Initiatives Fund and Saskatchewan Lotteries for providing funding to make the Get Outside! Kids Club possible!
